Although students may begin the year in math at various levels, the goal will be to move all students to the level recommended by the state of Maryland by the end of the year in every grade.  Students beginning at a lower level than expected (e.g., below grade 5 for entering 6th graders) will receive individual attention as needed to further their understanding of mathematical concepts.
